Terms of Service

1. Research use only

Relay Research sells chemical reference materials strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption. Our products are not drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, food, or medical devices; they are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease; and they have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. No dosage, administration, or efficacy information is offered or implied by anything on this site.

2. Eligibility and researcher verification

By placing an order you affirm that you are at least 21 years of age, that you are a qualified researcher or purchasing on behalf of a licensed laboratory or institution, and that every product will be used solely for in-vitro research. We may request institutional or professional verification before releasing a first-time or high-volume order and may cancel and refund any order at our discretion.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Accounts exist to provide order history and certificate-of-analysis access. Notify us promptly at RelayResearchLabs@gmail.com of any unauthorized use.

4. Orders, pricing, and availability

All prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude applicable taxes and shipping unless stated. We may correct pricing errors, limit quantities, or refuse or cancel any order, including orders we believe are intended for a prohibited use. Products marked sold out cannot be ordered until restocked. Promotional codes apply to the merchandise subtotal, may not be combined, and may carry additional conditions (for example, first-order-only codes).

5. Shipping and risk of loss

Shipping terms, transit times, and charges are described in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery to the carrier.

6. Certificates of analysis

Each lot ships with a lot-specific third-party certificate of analysis. Analytical results describe the tested lot only and are provided for research documentation; they do not constitute a warranty of fitness for any application.

7. Returns and refunds

Because of the nature of the products, returns are limited. See our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Prohibited uses

You agree not to use any product for human or animal consumption or administration, in food, cosmetics, or medical devices, in any diagnostic procedure, or in any manner that violates applicable law. You are solely responsible for compliance with all laws and institutional policies governing the receipt, storage, handling, and use of research chemicals in your jurisdiction.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Products are provided “as is” for research use. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from any order is limited to the amount paid for the products in that order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Relay Research and its officers, employees, and suppliers from any claim arising from your purchase, handling, or use of the products, or from any breach of these Terms.

12. Intellectual property

Site content, including text, graphics, logos, and certificates, is owned by or licensed to Relay Research and may not be reproduced without permission, other than certificates of analysis retained for your own research records.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version. Continued use of the site after posting constitutes acceptance.
